1. Soreness
It is perfectly normal to be sore, bruised and swollen in the thigh region for the first few days after surgery. In order to decrease the amount of swelling and fluid absorption it will be necessary to wear a special compression garment for one month after the procedure.
2. Walking & Discomfort
Walking and driving will be impossible the first few days after surgery. It is recommended that you do begin to walk as soon as the discomfort and swelling has subsided, as this is good for the proper circulation of the blood. You will be prescribed pain medication to help you cope with the first couple days of discomfort.
3. Stitches
The stitches from surgery will be taken out after approximately a week's time. It should take three to four weeks for the recovery period to get underway. After this period of time you can resume all of your regular activities including your exercise routine.
4- Exercises
It is recommended that you wear the compression garment all of the time for a month and refrain from strenuous exercise for a period of one month.
5- Recovery
Patients of inner thigh lift surgery are advised to take 2-3 weeks’ holiday from work.
