Lip Augmentation- Surgical Phase |

The dermis and fat is harvested from the patient, usually from an existing scarred area such as an appendix or Caesarean Section scar. The graft is prepared, shaped and placed on top of the muscle underneath the lining of the lip through a small incision inside the mouth.
This procedure is performed under local anesthesia or often as part of a facial rejuvenation procedure.

It is a day surgery
Not any bruises occur.
Not any scars occur.
The lip swells for a period of 5 - 7 days, but thereafter returns to a natural and youthful appearance.
The patient may feel a tension on his/her lips
There are no stitches involved in this operation.
Not any numbness occurs.
