Breast Lift- Surgical Phase |

After careful pre-operative marking with the patient standing position, the surgical procedure is performed. The patient is discharged from the operation room with dressings.
| 2. Location Of The Operation |
There are three options for the location of the operation, which comprises the three most advanced private hospitals in Izmir. Namely, these hospitals are; PRIVATE EGE SAGLIK HOSPITAL, PRIVATE KENT HOSPITAL and PRIVATE GAZI HOSPITAL. All the hospitals are fully equipped with 24 hrs full ambulatory facilities and modern technological devices.
The operation is performed under general anaesthesia.

Depending on the technique that is preferred to be applied, the patient is often expected to experience some scarring although this usually fades with time.
Some bruises may occur around your breast.
You will definitely experience swelling around your breast, but it will be resolve at the end of 3-6 weeks.
There will be some pain and discomfort for a few days, and your breasts may feel tender and lumpy for weeks and even months after the procedure.
Mostly we use absorbable sutures (stitches) that don’t necessitate to be removed after the follow-up sequences of the operation. However, in some techniques in accordance with the nature of the operation, we can use some sutures which will be removed at the 2nd or 3rd postoperative week.
You are also likely to lose sensation in the nipple, and this numbness may extend over part of the breast as well. It will recover by 6th-24th week.
The breasts are taped for 3 weeks post operatively to reduce tension on the scars and to obtain a narrow scar. The patient is instructed on how to tape the breasts herself for the period. A bra is worn continuously for 6 weeks, day and night.
In some techniques drains are not necessary. However, in the cases when the drains are used, they will be removed generally at the 24th hour.
