Liposuction - Pre-Surgical Phase |
|
| 1. Preparation Guidelines For The Operation Before Arrival | It is crucial that you submit us the medical history form which should include (if any) prior procedures, medications, allergies, and your motivations for seeking plastic surgery. It is very important that you be thorough when providing your medical history, as this information helps to prevent complications during your care. Be sure to include any vitamin or herbal preparations, as these can affect your blood pressure and clotting ability.
Aspirin and aspirin containing products, as well as some supplements and "nutraceuticals" may inhibit blood clotting and cause difficulties during and after surgery. If you need an aspirin-free fever reducer and pain reliever, take Tylenol. Also, if you smoke, you shouldn't smoke at least 2 weeks prior and at least 2 weeks after your surgery date. Smoking significantly reduces your body's superficial circulation
| 2. Pre-Operative Appoinnment Upon Arrival | During your initial consultation, while the patient is in standing position, the areas of the fat that will be removed will be marked. The contour of your body, in this way, is planned. Your digital photograph is taken from different views
| 3. Execution Of The Surgical Plan | Your operation will be scheduled on the same day following the consultation (3-4 hours following the consultation) or a day after the consultation.
|
4. Execution Of The Laboratory Tests
| Prelimary lab-tests will be carried out on the day of operation (Two hour before the operation all of the tests will have been completed) The regular tests involve hematocrit and blood clothing count tests).
| 5. Preparations Before Surgery | Do not eat anything for eight hours before surgery. This is a common rule: if your surgery is in the morning do not eat after midnight the night before surgery. This rule applies even if you have a local anesthetic. It is a good idea to eat a nourishing diet for a week or two before surgery. Consider increasing your vitamin C intake. Do not go on a strict diet in the weeks before your operation. |
