| 1. Preparation Guidelines For The Operation Before Arrival |
Avoiding all anti-inflammatory agents including Ibuprofen, Voltaren and all aspirin products as well as excessive quantities of Vitamin E for two weeks before surgery, since such king of medications inhibit the clotting mechanism of the blood and increase your chances of unnecessary operative bleeding
It is also neccessary that you stop smoking at least a month prior to surgery to maximise your body's ability to heal following the operation. This will also decrease potential complications associated with surgery.
| 2. The Pre-Operative Appointment Upon Arrival |
After the examination of both breasts, best implant for the patient will be discussed in terms of nature of the implant (shape, size etc.). The patient will be informed about the details of the surgical procedure. Digital photographs from different angles will be taken.
| 3. Execution Of The Laboratory Tests |
• In order to have a general anaesthesia, it is important that you have completed your blood tests including:
o Complete blood count
o Serum electrolytes
o Renal function tests
o Liver function tests
• Plain chest radiogram, Electrocardiography (ECG) or urine analysis may be necessary in some patients.
| 4. Execution Of The Surgical Plan |
• In order to have a general anaesthesia, it is important that you have completed your blood tests including:

| 5. The Preparation Before Surgery |
Do not eat anything for eight hours before surgery. This is a common rule: if your surgery is in the morning do not eat after midnight the night before surgery. This rule applies even if you have a local anesthetic. It is a good idea to eat a nourishing diet for a week or two before surgery. Consider increasing your vitamin C intake. Do not go on a strict diet in the weeks before your operation
