Dental Implants
A dental implant is a small, sturdy, titanium post that acts as the root structure would for a natural tooth. A dental implant is placed into your upper or lower jaw bone. After the bone has grown around the implant, implants can hold a crown, bridge or over-denture just like roots hold natural teeth in place. Implants are very durable and can last a lifetime. They require the same maintenance as natural teeth; this includes brushing, flossing and regular dental check-ups. A single tooth or a full arch of teeth which have been lost due to injury or disease can be replaced with dental implants. Titanium metal is used because of its compatibility with bone and oral tissues.
Replacing a Multiple Teeth with Implants
If you are missing a single tooth or mulitple teeth, dental implants are the way to go. They are the most natural looking way to replace missing teeth. Dental implants help maintain the integrity of the jawbone and prevent deterioration of the bone that can take place with missing teeth. It’s important to replace missing teeth as soon as possible for the full function of chewing and for a healthy, happy smile.
Reasons you may want to consider dental implants:
To replace one or more teeth To provide support for a partial denture To increase the support and stability of full upper or lower denture To enhance chewing comfort To increase confidence while smiling, talking and eating To improve your overall psychological health To improve esthetic appearance and regain over all confidence

PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
THE RESTORATIVE PHASE
Panaromix x-Ray is taken and the necessary lab tests are conducted to check the bone structure and determine the suitable implant treatment. If there is not any sufficient bone structure, bone grafting can be necessiated. (The implants are placed after the osseintegration phase which takes about 3 months)
Usually 3 to 4 months after the implants were first placed, you return to our clinic so that final teeth can be fitted. The reason why it takes from 3 to 9 months between these two stages is that an integration period is needed for the implant to fully assimilate with the bone. During this time bone cells grow into the micro-pores created on the surface of the implant. It is a natural process and its duration varies between individuals.

After preparation of the implantation area, implants are inserted and the gum is stitched over them. Depending upon the complexity of your case, the operation might take anything from 30 minutes for a single implant, to several hours for complex bone grafting and multiple implant placements. Any stitches are removed a week to ten days later. You won’t be left toothless as we fit you with temporary teeth. During that time patients remain under our constant care.

HEALING PERIOD
WHICH BRANDS WE USE ? |
The healing period lasts for about 3 months. During this time bone cells grow into the micro-pores created on the surface of the implant. This process is called osseointegration, and ensures the implants fix in place and become able to support a normal biting load long-term without any damage.
